Problem
While cans are recycled at high rates, more than 40 billion crushed cans end up in landfills in the U.S. each year. That’s $800 million of lost material that could otherwise be recycled back into a new product.
Our Strategy
To utilize gamified recycling bins within large sporting venues to create awareness regarding the environmental impacts associated with crushing aluminum cans prior to disposal.
Recycling Bins
40 billion crushed cans are sent to landfills each year. The recycling game will encourage sports fans to refrain from crushing their cans and instead dispose of them in one of the campaign’s specified recycling bins.
Mobile Interface
By scanning the codes on their Budweiser cans, fans can track their individual recycling habits and learn more about the aluminum recycling process. The campaign’s community component encourages users to work together towards a shared recycling goal, tracking their collective progress and earning rewards for their communities.
Outdoor Environment
The collected recycled cans will be repurposed and utilized in the construction of sporting facilities in the local community.
