Project Overview
Finding the best spots to bring your pup can be ruff! Dog owners who frequent the park sometimes encounter others that don’t match their dog’s playstyle or struggle to find the relevant pet policy when planning to bring their pet to an event or into a business. The PupMeet App helps dog owners discover the best places in the neighborhood to take their furry friends!
My Role
User & Market research, wireframing, information architecture, UI design
Developing our strategy
Dog owners who bring their dogs to the park sometimes encounter hostile or aggressive dogs that don't match their dog’s playstyle. In addition, when planning to bring a dog to an event or into a business, it can be difficult to locate the relevant pet policy.
Defining the flow
After our research and site map exercises, we created a user flow for our app. We made sure to include personalization options during the onboarding so users could best find potential matches for their dog(s).
Wireframing
Based on the user flow and site map we began visualizing the mobile app through wireframes.
Visual Exploration
While designing our logos we wanted to highlight the “playful” energy of dogs through typography and dog symbols. We also incorporated some sort of map icon as the app is intended to be used in your local area.

Final Logo & App Icon
Based on feedback we developed a simpler logo while still keeping the ideas of playfulness. This was primarily for the dog-ear flap in the letter.

Final UI
By combining our final app/icon design with our design systems we were able to move forward with our final interface designs. Because the app functioned as a forum board we utilized negative space to increase legibility.
